The new “Mathematics on Ice” forum aims to provide a virtual room for discussion on mathematical aspects of ice dynamics. Every month, there will be a couple of short talks and opportunity for breakout discussion, as well as meeting new people. The first meeting is on 15 February from 4pm GMT to 5:30pm GMT with presentations by Alex Robel (GeorgiaTech) on “Grounding lines transition to instability at sharp peaks through a crossing-sliding bifurcation” and by Kasia Warburton (Cambridge) on “Tides below glaciers: subglacial hydrology of the grounding line”. Everyone is welcome to join! If you are interested in joining the seminar, please contact the organisers Sam Pegler (firstname.lastname@example.org), Ronja Reese (email@example.com; member of TiPACCs) and Ian Hewitt (firstname.lastname@example.org).
