The TiPACCs Early Career Researchers organized a dedicated workshop for the project’s Ph.D.s and postdocs in Chamonix, France, on 15-18 June 2022.

The workshop was designed to further not only scientific aspects of the project, but also to promote interaction and networking to create synergies among the early career researchers and invited speakers.

The workshop was held immediately after the TiPACCs annual meeting in Grenoble, which minimized international travel for workshop participants. The goal was to provide an informal setting in which participants could get to know each other better, and share ideas about the project. This was a valuable in-person meeting, since many of the participants had not yet met each other (except online) after two years of working on the project.

The planning committee of the workshop included:

Emily Hill, UNN
David Chandler, NORCE
Cyrille Mosbeux, UGA
Christopher Bull, UNN
Verena Haid, AWI

Besides the planning committee, the participants were:
Alethea Mountford, UNN
Julius Garbe, PIK
Simon Schöll, PIK
Benoit Urruty, UGA
Ronja Reese, UNN
Lena Nicola, PIK
Mathias Van Caspel, AWI

In addition, the workshop also benefitted from the expertise of two invited guests, Helene Seroussi and Katrin Meissner, who gave two excellent talks and provided advice on careers and grant funding. Overall the workshop was an excellent opportunity for the project members to work together, and will help collaboration in TiPACCs as well as in future projects.
